Tonight's is an issue I can talk a little bit about.
This issue is based upon a news article that I read in which a child accidentally brought a pocket knife to school. The knife dropped out of his pocket, his gym teacher called the "school resource officer", and the kid then left the school in handcuffs.
I can compare and contrast the above news story with an incident from my childhood in which I tried to buy a pocket knife from another kid. This was at day camp. My parents didn't want me to have a pocket knife, so I tried to buy one. Long story short, I got caught. There were no handcuffs. I did get in trouble. Eventually, many months later, my parents even let me have a pocket knife.
My point is, I never again brought a knife to school. Not once. Why couldn't the kid above have gotten the same treatment? Especially when there is no malice, I see no need for zero tolerance.
Also, in this comic, all the kids have scissors. At schools, they give kids more dangerous weapons than they are punishing the kids for having. It's reactionary and paranoid. At best these schools are teaching kids that authority figures suck.

Early...
This is the first comic posted here at an earlier time. I'd like to say that this has been a good day, but it really hasn't, I've been arguing with Dustin.
On a more positive note, I saw Men in Black 3 and enjoyed it.
Blarg...
Starting on May 28th, the comic is getting released at nine to make it easier on me with the new job.
I got Apollo 13 and Network on Blu Ray today. Both movies rank in my favorites.
I also got Sepultura's Roots and Red Fang's Murder the Mountains today, both bands I would highly recommend.
I saw the Avengers over the weekend and it was good.
Damn, I should get paid to sponsor the above products.
Brutality...
So, I haven't posted a comic here in two weeks. Last week, it was a special issue, so it just went on the site. The week before that, I just didn't give a damn. I did release to the site two weeks ago, but early.
My new schedule is brutal, and I always end up sleep deprived. It reminds me of the early days of the site, which is unpleasant. I would get so little sleep. The difference is now that I'll nap here and there to lessen the effects, and I'll sleep a day away if I need it. Even getting an hour or two in the evening after work helps. I also have some stuff going on in my life. I've had worse, and I've had better, but it's stuff all the
Tired is the new normal...
I get up at five every morning now, so being tired is the standard after releasing a comic.
Tonight's comic is my take on the killing of Trayvon Martin, and my general thoughts on racism.
